Robert "Mac/Rob" S McIntire, 47, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Thursday May 3rd,2012.
Born April 7th,1965 in Mercer,PA, he was the son of the late Robert James McIntire and Marion Mullen of Emlenton,PA.
He joined the service in 1985 and retired in Oct 2009.He was a member of the Btry C 1/107th FA in Oil City,PA during his first tour of Iraq in 04-05 and served a tour with the 947th Engineer Company at Ft Carson,CO in 07-08.
He was the husband of Paula McIntire of Denver,CO,father of Janessa McIntire of New Castle and Hannah McIntire of Denver,CO. His siblings include Charles, James, and Debbie Noble of Volant,PA, Frank of Winooski,VT ,and Larry of Underhill,VT. A granddaughter and several neices and nephews. He is also survived by his special and longtime bestfriend Ellison "Butch" George and family of Franklin,PA.
Besides his father he is preceeded in death by a grandson.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday May 26th at 10 a.m.at the First Church Of God on E.Eighth St; Oil City,PA and funeral services will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville on Tuesday May 29th at 10 a.m.
Robert had no life insurance so the family asks donations be made to the Adopt A Platoon; P.O.Box 234; Lozano, TX 78568 which paid for cremation and helped with the flight to bring this soldier home.
